Oral Surgery Services
Extractions
At our Warsaw, IN, practice, we perform general surgical extractions, as well as wisdom teeth extractions. Our dentist is equipped to address both simple and complicated tooth removal. We also offer nitrous oxide sedation, oral conscious sedation, and IV sedation options for all of our surgery treatments.
Dental Implant Placement
Dental implants not only replace missing tooth roots, but they also help support facial structures by reducing the risk of jawbone atrophy. Implants support a variety of restorations, including dental crowns, bridges, and dentures. Dr. Stofer and his Warsaw, IN, team can perform every aspect of dental implant care right here in our office.
Bone Grafting
Sometimes jawbone degradation occurs due to trauma or prolonged tooth loss. Bone graft surgery involves adding donor tissue to areas of bone loss to increase density and provide better support to the facial features. Grafts are often necessary prior to dental implant surgery. In many cases, they are performed at the same time as extraction to preserve the site for an implant later on.
Soft Tissue Biopsy
If a patient has abnormal lesions in the mouth, a soft-tissue biopsy may be necessary. A biopsy is the surgical removal of a piece of tissue for further testing. A soft tissue biopsy can detect oral pre-cancer and cancer in its early stages, when it is most effectively treated. Dr. Stofer can perform this type of biopsy and refer you to another specialist if necessary.
